Role of the institution in the Competence Network on Parkinson’s disease
The department of neurology at the town hospital Dessau is one of the regional centers of the Competence Network on Parkinson’s disease. It takes part in the patient register, the gene bank and the brain net.
Description of the institution
The town hospitel Dessau is part of the medical faculty of the Martin-Luther university Halle Wittenberg. It has 38 beds. Movement disorders make up the clinical emphasis and there are special ambulances for movement disorders (PD. Dr. S. Spieker) and for Botox therapies (OA Dr. Schelle).
