Role of the institution in the Competence Network on Parkinson’s disease
The Department of Neurology at the University of Lübeck is a regional center of the Competence Network on Parkinson’s disease. The Department co-operates with the other centers of Project 1, looking at molecular genetics.
Description of the institution
The Department of Neurology at the University of Lübeck, has a well established outpatient service for movement disorders, specialising in patients suffering from Parkinson's disease.
Research:
The research areas of the Institution include epidemiology and molecular genetics as well as neuropsychological and electrophysiological examinations of the interactions between cognition and movement.
